Am I an idiot? Am I doing something wrong? Is this not a normal issue? Please give me a break and help me out. This will launch a separate settings program Navigate to Manage packages > Manage core packages > emulationstation > Configurations/Options, then enable Swap A/B Buttons in ES Save changes and exit the settings program Step 2. Mind you I'm not familiar with any of the software or file editing for this. In EmulationStation, head to RetroPie > Configuration > RetroPie Setup. If anyone has any suggestions I'd really appreciate it, because I'm very frustrated. The location of the log file is not one that is accessible over the network share. I don't understand how something that should be so simple at the point where I am could possibly require anymore work. These will allow you to view the file, but doesnt help you share it. Every single combination of buttons on my controller or keyboard do absolutely nothing.Īfter five hours of trying to set this all up with small increments in progress to get to this point and only be able to find countless suggestions of messing with files or lines of code, I'm incredibly disheartened. In fact, none of the keyboard keys work to do anything either. The controller works perfectly fine to navigate the EmulationStation menu, but if I launch a game or the RetroArch menu, none of the controller inputs work. I am using a PS4 controller plugged into a USB port for a gamepad. Both games launch and I do not get an error for no bios, so that should also be fine. I have two games (Crash Bandicoot and Spyro) and the bios. I just got a Raspberry Pi 3 so I could use RetroPie and play PS1 games.
