Think about how incredible that must've been back in the late-80's/early-90's, and how ashamed they must've felt as a result of such staggering success after not being able to do that themselves. ![]() Pretty much the reason Sega ended up having such financial problems to the point of having to get out of the hardware business entirely, is because Sega of Japan was by and large jealous and felt scorned over the fact that it took an American businessman from Mattel to make the Genesis into the incredible success it was back in the day - to the point where it had taken nearly half of the market share away from Nintendo.
